12 Monkeys Tattoos in Tracy, California was established in the fall of 1999 by owner and artist Jon Highland. Initially it was a one man shop with only Jon as the sole artist. Now there are a total of four artists to handle the overwhelming demand as a shop of 10 years provides. 12 Monkeys Tattoos provides a safe environment for people to experience their first or fifteenth tattoo. All the artists are OSHA recognized in Blood Borne Pathogen Training and First Aid. There is art to choose from or for a more personal tattoo the artist can work alongside of you to create a one of a kind piece. The shop hosts art shows throughout the year to showcase original artwork from the artists at 12 Monkeys along with local artists and artists throughout the country. 12 Monkeys Tattoos has won the Best of the Best Tattoo Shop in Tracy every year since 2004 as voted by the residents of Tracy.

Tattoo Care

1. Keep bandaged for 1-2 hours, after which you should not re-bandage the tattoo.
2. Wash thoroughly with soap and water. Lightly pat dry.
3. Apply a thin layer of Bactricin or ointment, rub in and remove excess.
4. Repeat a minimum of 2 times a day.
5. Do not use Vaseline or petroleum jelly. Do not apply alcohol or peroxide.
6. Do not let your tattoo dry out. Do not rub, scratch, or pick at the tattoo.
7. Do not expose tattoo to direct sunlight for 2 weeks.
8. Do not swim for 1 week. Do not soak in sauna, steam or bath for 1 week.
9. After the dry skin has fallen off the tattoo, there will be a period of adjustment for the new skin, and it is advisable to apply hand lotion to the tattoo during this time.
10. The tattoo is your responsibility after you leave the studio. Please use common sense!
