Jon Highland is the owner of 12 Monkeys Tattoos in Tracy, California. At an early age his artistic abilities transpired into several mediums of painting, sculpting and photography. Jon began tattoing 18 years ago with the urging of friends who wanted to transform his custom art pieces into tattoos for them. Self taught, he started tattooing out of his home in Livermore. With his friends quickly getting recognition for their tattoos, Jons clientel grew from word of mouth. Now, 18 years later as owner and artist of 12 Monkeys Tattoos he divides his time between his shop and tattoo conventions throughout the country. His work is frequently shown in multiple tattoo magazines and he has received awards and recognition for his work.
